The company has an ambitious growth plan to expanding through acquisition of mid-market retirement residences across Canada over the next 5 years. JOB OVERVIEW
REPORTS TO: Director, Corporate Finance
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Finance and working with the VP, Finance, we are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Senior FP&A Analyst to support our financial planning and decision-making processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background who enjoys working cross-functionally and is comfortable taking ownership of reporting and modeling tasks. You will help improve the company’s financial visibility by developing forecasts, analyzing results, and providing insights that guide our business strategy and supporting acquisition integration.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with the annual budget process for all communities, working closely with operations and finance teams.
- Support rolling forecasts and long-range planning, incorporating operational insights and business trends.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting, including the development of commentary and visuals that communicate key messages clearly.
- Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making across departments.
- Provide financial analysis for business initiatives, such as pricing, cost optimization, and due diligence on acquisition
- Partner with operational leaders to understand performance trends and support resource planning.
- Identify opportunities for reporting or process improvements, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests and provide financial insights to internal stakeholders.
Strategic Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
- Support the onboarding and financial integration of newly acquired or transitioned communities.
- Participate in cross-functional strategic initiatives focused on process improvement, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to special projects and financial analyses that support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CFA a plus).
- 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and key business metrics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems (e.g., Yardi, Power BI, or other ERP/reporting tools).
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
